I'm happy to announce that Derek Vogelpohl - of ShyFonts/ShyFoundry - is now also onboard! :)
He has just recently re-opened a webpage where he offers his free and commercial fonts again, but I asked him if he was interested in my concept. He was, I reworked one of his fonts, sent it to him, and he liked the result - so now I have his huge library of quality font designs available to rework! Yay! Thanks, Derek! :)
(The sample font I made for him will be available very soon ;)

So, please excuse the not-quite-so-weekly updates ;)
I have to enjoy the short summer period we have here...

But I AM busy in the background, working on some new fonts, making some new sample images to show some details AND: I'm working on a PDF catalog for you to download! Here you can REALLY zoom in on the details :)

I have made another sample font and sent to yet another designer. So there are potentially 3 more fonts ready for the site - if all the three contacted new font designers want to join me here on CheapProFonts. Fingers crossed. :)

The 6th person I tried contacting finally answered - he had been too busy, and is currently on vacation :) Said he'd answer properly later this month...

I have emailed with a 7th person as well, and is currently making a sample of one of his fonts - I'm soooooo hoping he will join me!

I have sendt out our second newsletter, and also did a bit of a redesign on the font pages - so that the images would be more visible. I hope you don't find the pages too overwhelmingly pink now... :D
Summer is here, so I will probably not release as many fonts in the coming months (unless the weather is real bad ;) . Plus I still have a lot of background work to do on the site...

I have spent some more time with FontStruct – this time making a verison of our 21st release Syndrome BRK :)

I did this to spread the word about the large multilingual character sets we offer here, but the FontStruct version is not as good as the Pro version for sale here, of course (the building blocks of FontStruct are just not accurate enough for even this quite modular font).

I have not heard back from the 6th freeware font designer I've contacted... Perhaps he's on an early summer vacation, or his email adress is completely swamped with SPAM... Oh, well - I'll try reaching him again later. In the meantime I'm making another sample for yet another designer, but after that I will make some more fonts for release here :)
